Hallo! My name is Emmett, and I'm an American/Italian citizen moving to the Leiden area to begin my master's degree at Leiden University this fall.
For the past two years, I lived in Kazakhstan as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, so I'm very comfortable living abroad and adapting to new environments and cultures. I'm tidy, respectful, and easygoing, and I value a clean, quiet home where everyone feels comfortable. I enjoy getting to know the people I live with and appreciate direct, proactive communication, but I also respect everyone's privacy and personal space.
Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing instruments, exploring new cities, cooking, watching football (soccer), talking about history and politics, and more. I'm excited to make Leiden my new home and would love to find a place where I can settle in for the duration of my studies!
